steadily her sickness drips
pooling pain and soreness
sore from true injury, and sore from no rest, but mostly sore from absence

steadily her sickness pools
reflecting dull empty eyes
empty from drought, a lacking of love, yet overflowing with passionless blood

steadily her vision drains
evaporating old sunken pains
lifting her spirit, her sight surely spies, a hand reaching out to the depleted

steadily her sickness wains
receeding as spent tides
abiding, her hand, hope to this lost man, drowning out soon distant cries

I envy your ability to put words on paper, despite having to read this, the voice clearly resounds in my ears, this one gave me goose bumps and made me think of those who I have loved and lost over the years. Thanks for the memories you have stirred, it was obvious that I just needed to sit, reflect and remember.

This one touched me deeply. You used so much of my emotions:

steadily her sickness pools
reflecting dull empty eyes
empty from drought, a lacking of love, yet overflowing with passionless blood

Stay inspired!
