Apple Cherry Pie July 8, 2008

I tore
your apple
cherry pie
from this
treetop,
please don’t cry.
I spotted
leapt,
ripped
and kept,
this pie
of sin
and cherry sly.
It grew
and dangled
from this
tangled
group of
sprouting limbs.
While
I plotted,
Planned,
with opened
hand…
for hope of
future feasts,
and mangled
a beautiful beast.
Its pleasure was
quick
and its
juices thick
as I tasted
my well
earned prize.
Such
simple things,
as cherry bings
and apple’s
dripping juice.
They’ll drive
man and boy
to claim their toy
beyond moral,
scruple,
and tooth.
